Bringing you the best of Scotland's rich heritage of music and song
"Wonderful! I got a bit teary-eyed at the end!"
We share with you hauntingly beautiful slow airs and uniquely Scottish Strathspeys, thrilling jigs and lively reels. You’ll hear songs and tunes of love and work, mountains and glens, war and everyday life. The musicians will take you from ancient clan battles to contemporary events telling the stories that lie behind the words. The singers and musicians are all immersed in today's traditional music - find out more about them here.
Each show has a combination of fiddle, Highland bagpipes, Scots smallpipes, guitar (and any other instruments that the musicians bring along) and a variety of songs. You’ll hear the songs of Robert Burns including his most popular song Auld Lang Syne. We encoturage the audience to join in with the singing and the banter.
Stramash is brought to you by a group of musicians, singers and friends with a passion to share the music of Scotland that they love.
To complement the tunes we show pictures of Scotland’s beautiful landscapes - you can see them and find out where they were taken on our Flickr page.
